How much does a BER Assessment Cost?

The price of a BER can vary and depends on many different factors. The main considerations when pricing for the cost of a BER is the size of the house, the house location and the shape of the house.
If a house is close to our office we can provide a lower price for a BER. Generally, the price for a BER Assessment cost will increase when the floor area of the house is greater than 100 square meters or the house is full of bad angles. As we have to do a sketch of the house in question and provide U-values of every element in the house. The larger the house, will mean that there is more surveying and more U-value calculation to be performed on the house.
A BER assessment cost for a house with an extension will be more expensive as the extension is generally a newly built extension and will be more U-value calculations in the BER assessment.
The prices below are location dependent. If your house is in the location quoted we will do the BER for the listed price. Prices for BERs vary when there are an extension, grant applications, a dormer roof, a conservatory or a heat pump. Allow minimum €150 extra if your house has any of the above.
